HISTORY A FAMILY OF STRINGS The Warrick family goes back four generations and over 130 years in classical orchestral stringed instruments. Albert Warrick, the founder, was trained as a luthier and restorer by Georges A. Chanot in both Paris and the North of England. His son Alfred moved down to London, the world center of classical music, where he worked both for private clients and for W. E. Hill & sons, Beares, Withers and Guiviers. The third generation, Alan, worked with his father and after taking over the reins of the business bought a shop in West London which was close to Heathrow Airport for International clientèle and superb road links for UK customers. Those premises were the center of the family business for 50 years until Adrian, the fourth and current generation, moved to the business’ current location of West Byfleet.
